On-the-Job Training and Self Advocacy work together!
As a participant, you will learn how to:
Develop skills to represent yourself as you meet and interact in the community
Learn to communicate abilities, interests and needs during the interview process
Learn to make decisions away from parents and teachers
Increase confidence and adopt a growth mindset
Learn the importance of self-empowerment to get on a career path
Get introduced to a work place where your interests and abilities come together
Earn minimum wage during the OJT program
Receive job coaching and employment services from the Autism After 21 staff
Work towards inclusive employment in the community

Student Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Have a documented disability on the autism or Asperger's spectrum and/or related developmental disability
Be at least 14 – 21 years of age
Be interested in learning and preparing for the future
Have the capability to participate in online sessions for 4 hours with breaks
Navigate assignments outside of the online sessions
Participate in all activities and classes
Complete and return student questionnaire which arrives in an email after registration
